I have had many conversations with shooters about establishing a stable position to shoot from. A stable position is not only for the immediate shot but for follow up shots as well. it does you no good to be stable for the one shot only to have the recoil take you off target and you miss any information on the bullet impact. So when determining a position you want on that allows you to take the shot and follow it to impact so you can access and adjust as required. This video is me shooting a stage at a recent PRS match from this roof structure. The position i was in allowed me to see my shot to the target and make adjustments if I missed. The targets ranged out to about 680 yards.I dropped only one shot but I saw the miss made the correction and got the hit on the next shot.
