Introduction to Firearms and Shooting

This weekend was a perfect reminder of how much great equipment elevates the experience. I took my son to the range to prep for our 2026 Africa trip — he’s never shot past 25 yards and has never fired anything bigger than a .223.

After a few hours on rifle fundamentals, ballistics, and using the reticle, he jumped behind the @seekinsprecision_official PH3 and went one-for-one on a plate rack at 525 yards.

Great having @jakeabraham home for Thanksgiving. We took the chance to get in some training for our Africa trip next year, and he was hammering targets even off the sticks. With Jake living down in Tampa, we don’t get many days like this—so when we do, they’re pretty special.

What started as a pouring-rain drive to the stables turned into an incredible day on the trails. They were a little slick, but the ride was worth it.

And shoutout to Laura—when Coco slipped and they both went down, she popped right up, dusted off, and finished the ride. Cowgirl belt earned. 🤠

Ammo testing day with the @seekinsprecision_official Element Hunter.

This setup is a lightweight hammer—just 7.5 lbs with the scope and suppressor.
