Put the HIT on ‘em 🔥
Got some solid trigger time with the @seekinsprecision_official HIT M3 Pro rifle paired up with the @rhytec_industries Hunter Plate. The use of tripod has expanded the ability to establish a stable shooting platform and extended the distances we can shoot. Add the Rhytec Industries Hunter plate and the versatile is off the charts.
Smooth, precise, and ringing steel all day.
This setup doesn’t miss… unless I don’t do my job 😏

Back in the saddle with Jasper under me and @lauraabraham45 riding Coco along our side. We beat the heat, but that Southern humidity stuck around like a wet saddle blanket. Still, nothing better than time on the trail, good horses, and the quiet between the trees. Grateful for mornings like yesterday.

Another range session in the books with the @seekinsprecision_official PH2 Havak chambered in 7PRC—this Havak line of rifles are always impressive. Today I tested three loads with uniting in mind:
* Hornady 180gr ELD Match
* Hornady 175gr Precision Hunter
* Federal Premium 170gr Terminal Ascent
All three shot well, with tight groups and strong ballistics, but the standout for hunting was the Federal Terminal Ascent. It edged out the Hornady Precision Hunter with excellent consistency and downrange energy—ideal for tougher game and longer shots in the field.
The Precision Hunter still performed great and would be a strong second choice, especially for medium-sized game. The ELD Match grouped well too, but it’s more of a target round than a hunting load.
The 7PRC continues to prove itself as a flat-shooting, hard-hitting round that’s right at home in rugged terrain and longer ranges. Feeling very confident heading into hunting season with this setup dialed in.

Spent the morning doing some ammo testing in preparation for hunting season. I was running the @seekinsprecision_official PH2 Havak Element chambered in .300 WinMag, topped with a @vortexoptics Razor LHT.
Tested three hunting loads from Federal:
* 165gr Barnes TSX
* 180gr Trophy Bonded Tip
* 200gr Terminal Ascent
As expected from the Seekins rifle all three rounds performed well, but the 200gr Terminal Ascent clearly came out on top in terms of group size. The 180gr Trophy Bonded Tip showed impressive ballistics with a standard deviation of just 7.2 and grouped well—just not as tight as the Terminal Ascent.

Carrying isn’t enough. You gotta train.
It’s easy to toss on your EDC and feel prepared—but when stress hits, gear alone won’t save you. If you haven’t practiced drawing from concealment, shooting from awkward positions, or clearing a jam under pressure… you’re not really ready.
Train how you carry. That means your actual carry gun, your actual holster, in your actual carry position. Not your full-size range toy in a drop leg. Get reps in. Hit the range. Run your setup like your life depends on it—because one day, it just might.

The best friendships often come from unexpected places. What began as a shared passion for firearms, personal defense and competition has turned into something much deeper—a family. These friends have been there through the challenges, the victories win and the setbacks. The kind of people who don’t just stand by you—they lift you up, laugh with you, and support you when it matters most. Grateful for these lifelong bonds and the extended family I’ve found in the firearms community. Life has a way of throwing curveballs. When it does, the strength of your tribe is what gets you through.
