Introduction to Firearms and Shooting

Solid weekend of work with @michael_berger21 getting dialed in for the next NRL match. We confirmed data early, then spent the rest of the time grinding positional work—running bags, bipods, and tripods to build stable positions and reach out beyond 1,000 yards. The wind kept things honest, giving us plenty of reps making—and correcting—calls.

I’ve made a few updates to the @seekinsprecision_official PH3 NRL over the past few weeks, including a new @vortexoptics Razor Gen III optic and adding a @kgmsuppressors R6.5K suppressor. No surprises—the rifle continues to deliver elite accuracy and consistency. It’s exactly why Seekins remains a leader in the industry.

We wrapped things up taking on Heartbreak Hill from the tower—just over 1,000 yards out, with winds shifting unpredictably through the canyon. Made the initial call, trusted the process, and quickly adjusted…impact on target.

Quick trip to the range to test a new setup—and it didn’t disappoint.

5 rounds in a .17 mil group—and that includes one I pulled.

After two straight weekends of rucking miles, it was good to get back out on the trails and let someone else do the walking for a change.

Today was a bittersweet ride—my farewell ride on Goose before he heads to his new home. We even explored some new trails, adding one more set of memories to the miles we’ve shared.

We’ve logged a lot of miles together over the past couple of years.

Grateful for the time, the miles, and the memories. 🐎
