Introduction to Firearms and Shooting

(1/2 Day Class)

This course focuses on the basics and fundamentals of shooting safety, firearms handling and marksmanship. If you just purchased a firearm and need some training this is the perfect class for you. This course will take you through the basic fundamentals needed to shoot safely and accurate. You will gain valuable experience and confidence as well as increase your skill level with the firearm.

General Public

Course Eligibility:
No Prerequisites

Cost: $180 + Ammunition

Please bring the following gear to the course:

Pistol
250 rounds of ammunition
At least 2 magazines for high capacity double stack firearms, 3 plus magazines for single stack firearms.
Eye and ear protection.
Comfort items such as sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, and drinks.

Different experience. Same expectation from the rifle.

Jake stepped into his first rifle match this weekend behind the @seekinsprecision_official PH2 NRL, while I ran the PH3 NRL.

He’s a relatively inexperienced shooter. I’ve spent years behind a rifle. But no matter the experience level, having equipment you trust makes a difference.

When you get behind a rifle, you need to know that if you do your part, it will do its part. Accuracy, consistency, reliability — shot after shot, position after position.

That’s the confidence these rifles give us.

The PH2 NRL gave Jake a platform he could trust while learning to build positions, manage the rifle and execute shots under match conditions. The PH3 NRL gives me the same confidence to focus on the things I can control — because I never have to question what the rifle is capable of.

Another great weekend with my son comes to a close.

@jakeabraham joined me at Mossy Pond NRL Hunter for his first rifle match ever — and absolutely knocked it out of the park, finishing 2nd in the Skills Division.

What made me even prouder was watching him jump in with both feet. He shot from positions he had never experienced before, worked off a tripod from both the front and rear, and engaged targets from props that were completely new to him.

He listened, learned, adapted and competed.

The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to take advantage of opportunities like this when they come along. The match, the finish and the shooting were all great — but getting to spend the weekend together doing something we both enjoy is what I’ll remember most.

There will always be another match and another leaderboard.

Weekends like this are the real win.

Jake, I’m incredibly proud of you. Love you, buddy.

A great way to finish out my NRL Hunter season at @mossypondlodge. I managed to walk away with
🥇 1st — Factory Division
🏆 High Senior

It’s always good to finish strong, but there’s still plenty to work on and plenty of room to get better.

Now it’s time to shift gears. Next up is the DMR and Team Sniper match with @michael_berger21, and then it’s back to work preparing for next season.

Keep learning. Keep improving. Keep competing.

Thanks to everyone for their hard work in putting the match on and special thanks to Mossy Pond for opening their incredible facility up to us. The hospitality & food is always fantastic.

Range day with @michael_berger21 getting ready for the upcoming matches.

Spent Sunday morning behind the @seekinsprecision_official SP10-M and PH3 NRL validating ammo, and making sure everything is exactly where it should be. The groups speak for themselves.

Confidence on match day starts long before the timer. When you trust your rifle completely, you can focus on making good decisions and executing the shot.

These rifles simply perform. If I miss, it won’t be because of the equipment.
